Getting ready for our next trip to Uganda

We have a team of 15 people getting ready for an amazing trip to Gulu. Lots of preparation has gone into preparing lessons for the children at Bethel school, teaching sessions at the Pastors conference and medical training for the community health workers.

We leave on 21st November very early in the morning, from different airports meeting at Amsterdam for our flight to Entebbe.

We will keep you all informed of our trip so long as we can get internet access.

Thanks for your continued support.

Social Action

We have provided fresh water wells in communities where the need is greatest. We work in partnership with Gulu District Council in order to identify these communities. GMI has also provided oxen and farming equipment to communities enabling resurgence of local agriculture and building of self sustenance and economy. We currently have projects ongoing at building classrooms and churches.

Community Growth

The churches in Northern Uganda are working together to make a difference in their communities. We are working on projects to provide homes and churches. GMI is also working with developing small enterprises. We provide leadership training and conferences to empower local community leaders and Pastors to enable them to change their communities from the inside out.

GMI-UK runs a Nursery and Infants school in Paminano, Northern Uganda, with our partners James and Phoebe Ochan. 240 children attend the school, ranging from 3y to10yrs The School is registered with the British Council, and is working together in partnership with schools in the UK

Mapenduzi in Wales

On the 17th September Mark & Elizabeth Lewis met our co-worker Liz Heaton in Stoke on Trent and met up with Martin Mapenduzi. We spent some time together catching up on the great week Martin had just completed in Stoke promoting and raising awareness about the GMI. We moved back to Wales for a restful evening prior to the crazy week scheduled ahead.
